実は、この蝶の柄の着物地は、七五三を迎える七歳の女の子のための着物に使われていたものです。

蝶は、さなぎから美しい蝶へと成長する姿から、「健やかな成長」や「未来への飛躍」を願う縁起の良いモチーフとされています。

お嬢様を想う親御さんの温かい気持ちに触れ、さらに偶然にも、お選びいただいた着物地にも「娘の健やかな成長を願う」という意味が込められていたことに、深いご縁を感じました。

遠くカナダで、この一枚がお嬢様の成長を見守る存在になってくれたら、とても嬉しく思います。

A customer from Canada recently chose one of our KIMONO PANELs as a gift for her daughter, who has a deep interest in Japanese culture.

What makes this piece especially meaningful is the fabric itself.

The butterfly-patterned kimono was originally made for a seven-year-old girl's Shichi-Go-San (7-5-3) celebration, a traditional Japanese milestone that celebrates a child's healthy growth and happiness.

In Japan, butterflies symbolize transformation, hope, and graceful growth, as they emerge from a chrysalis into something beautiful.

When I learned that this panel was a gift from a mother to her daughter, I was deeply moved. It felt like a wonderful coincidence that the kimono fabric itself also carries wishes for a young girl's healthy future.

I hope this KIMONO PANEL will bring a touch of Japanese culture, beauty, and heartfelt meaning to their home in Canada.
