Founded 183 years ago, this is a bolt of fabric from Chikusen, a long-established yukata maker.

It features a dragonfly pattern. Dragonflies are considered very auspicious because they are called "winning insects" due to their characteristic of only moving forward.

The dyeing method used is Chusen, where paste is applied along a stencil and dye is poured in.
This unique technique creates a distinct, handmade dye finish.

The dyeing method is called chusen, in which glue is applied along a stencil and
the dye is poured in. This unique technique produces a one-of-a-kind dyed finish that is
characteristic of handmade products.
