This is a bolt of fabric from Chikusen, a long-established 
yukata manufacturer founded 183 years ago.

As the name suggests, Chū-sen dyeing is a method of dyeing 
in which a stencil is used to prevent the dye from being dyed,
 and then the dye is poured over it.
The dye soaks into the fabric from both the top and bottom, 
resulting in the pattern being dyed the same on both sides.
It is possible to create gradations and blurs by using multiple 
colors at once, and the appeal of this method is the bleeding and soft texture.
